Fine art or Illustration

Fine art or Illustration ... that is the question. I am not new to hearing that my style is very illustration from fine art galleries and from directors of illustration used to tell me that my style is too much of fine art. Where do I belong? I'm not sure where to categorize my style, but as long as I do what I enjoy to do...that's all that matters to me.

  1. oh my goodness! Your work is fabulous! I adore it! would LOVE to see what would come out if you journaled. I think you should do what you do but messy it up a bit with writing and squiggles...just to see what comes out. Otherwise stick to your own style. It's really wonderful.

  5. Hi Sunny, thank for visiting me, I get that too with my art, a lot of galleries are so traditional they can't see whimsical as fine art! Anyway this is beautiful and you should do what you love! :D Patti

I've heard the crafts/graphics/fine art discussion before - usually from folks a little too concerned about being special!
Art comes in all forms - yours is lovely.
